Raising terrifying and grandiose at the foot of Fuji Mountain in Japan, the legendary Aokigahara Forest is the suspenseful setting of the supernatural thriller Curse Forest.
An American, Sara (played by Natalie Dormer of The Game of Thrones and The Hunger Games), is on her way to look for her sister, Jess (Natalie Dormer in double play), who has mysteriously disappeared. Frustrated by the behavior of Jess, Sara’s husband, Rob (played by Eoin Macken of The Night Shift), it is not worthwhile to make his wife quit this long and dangerous journey.
After moving on to Jess’s school, Sara’s inventor sets herself up to the cursed forest. Accompanied by her new acquaintance, Aiden journalist (Taylor Kinney of Chicago Fire), she enters the forest ignoring the warning that “she has to keep the path.” The Japanese guide, Michi (the Japanese star Yukiyoshi Ozawa), who leads them through Forest, has committed to protecting both of them, but when they see that they can not persuade them to get out of the woods, they fall asleep at night in the woods populated by evil spirits.
Soon, fear will make Sara lose touch with reality; Moreover, she starts to question everything Aiden says, including the fact that he would never have known Jess. Decisive to discover the truth about her sister’s fate, Sara will have to confront herself with the tormented and angry spirits that make all those who dare to come in contact with them prey. The evil spirits, who wait for Sara every turn, make her fall into a terrible dark with which she will have to fight if she wants to escape with life.
