In the meeting, Lorraine is drawn into a vision where he relives the murders, but then discovers a demonic figure on Ed’s slash. Ed strives and heavily takes Lorraine out of this state.
In 1977, in London, England, the Hodgson family began to observe strange happenings in their home. Janet, the foster family, is seen walking in sleep and conversing in his dreams as two different people. Finally, all the children in their home and their mother, Peggy, are witnessing paranormal events that happen under their eyes, forcing them to seek specialist help. When the press tries to interview an Hodgson husband, Janet is possessed by the spirit of Bill Wilkins, the former owner of the house, who wants to regain his home.
As Janet begins to exhibit more and more signs of demonic possession, the story finally comes to the ears of the Warren spouses, who are asked to come and assist the local church in research. Lorraine, frightened by the vision she had of her husband’s brutal death that might become reality, wishes not to get involved in this case and warns Ed to do the same, but ultimately he is convinced And they both go to London.
