Placed in a world similar to ours, but populated by animals, the new production of Illuminations Entertainment (Despicable Me, Minions), Sing, is centered on Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey), a stylish koala, at the helm of a A theater whose glorious days have passed. Optimistically incorruptible – but also a small fool – loves theater more than anything else and is ready to do everything in its power to bring it back to its former success.
Confronted with the destruction of his life’s ambition, he realizes that he has only one chance to make his precious treasure again – the staging of the greatest musical competition he has ever had.
There are five contestants in the final: a jazz lover (Seth MacFarlane), whose speech is as clever as his tricks, a shy teenage teenager with a wonderful but trance-like voice (Tori Kelly), exhausted mother of 25 (Reese Witherspoon), who dreamed of a musical career in teenage years, a gorilla, a gangster son (Taron Egerton), eager to leave behind the family’s rogue legacy and a spanking pig, fan punk rock (Scarlett Johansson) Who dreamed of a solo career after he was kicked out by his band colleagues and left by his arrogant partner.
Everyone responds to Buster’s announcement in the hope that they will have the chance to change their lives.
