The talents of two of the most talented storytellers in the world – Roald Dahl and Steven Spielberg – will combine for the first time to bring the beloved children’s book “The Great Grand Friend,” a classic classical work of the genre.
Directed by Spielberg, the production tells the story of an orphan and the giant who acquaints him with his fascinating but dangerous world. Unlike everyone else, Great Friend Friendly (Mark Rylance) is extremely kind and gentle.
Though little Sophie initially fears the giant world she has come to, she quickly realizes that her companion is a gentle creature, and her curiosity pushes her to ask dozens of questions. Her buddy teaches her everything about magic and the way she conveys dreams to the children of Earth, but warns her at the same time that a giant rebellion is about to destroy the earth’s balance. Thus, the mission of the two will be to save mankind from the immense danger in the magical universe, about to break out.
Since September 2, “The Great Grand Prix” produces a fascinating adventure on the big screens in the country.
